Description
Figueres, which is in the middle of the Empordà region, is the Surrealist city par excellence. Its most illustrious citizen, Salvador Dalí, had a museum constructed in the old municipal theatre building to allow visitors to fully immerse themselves in his world and enjoy an unforgettable experience. A short distance away is the provincial capital of Girona, which offers a trip through one of Europe’s best preserved Jewish quarters and a route through a medieval environment dominated by the river, where its colourful ‘hanging’ houses lend it an almost magical air.
